Olin-Sang-Ruby Union Institute (OSRUI) in Oconomowoc, WI (about 30 minutes from Milwaukee).
Located on the shores of beautiful Lac La Belle, OSRUI provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable camp experience. With over 200 acres of land there are plentiful indoor and outdoor spaces. And all campus buildings are within a few minutes’ walk of each other.
Enjoy one of the best floors in all of Israeli Dancing. Spacious, sprung-wood, it is perfect for the tons of hours we’ll be spending on it. And it’s in the Sports Center, a great facility for hanging out and noshing when you take a break from the dancing.
We offer a variety of housing options in including on/off campus. Soref/Lodge (our top level accommodation - semi-private rooms with in-room baths) Nerenberg (semi-private rooms, bathrooms down the hall) Cabins, Off Campus
If you choose Soref/Lodge, we will confirm that level of accommodation as long as the rooms remain available. When those buildings are full, we will default to Nerenberg. Specific building/room assignments will be provided upon arrival at camp. SOREF/LODGE FILL UP VERY QUICKLY. PLEASE REGISTER ASAP TO ASSURE GETTING YOUR PREFERRED HOUSING.
DANIEL M. SOREF CENTER (VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY)
The Daniel M. Soref Education and Alumni Center is an adult/family housing facility with two twin beds and a private bath. A central kitchen equipped with stove, microwave and refrigerator sets off the meeting room which contains a fieldstone fireplace.
SCHAALMAN LODGE (VERY LIMITED AVAILABILITY)
The Lodge is an adult/family housing facility with 20 rooms each with two twin beds and a private bath. A central kitchen is equipped with stove, microwave and refrigerator, and an eating/activity area with tables and 12 to 15 chairs. A separate meeting room accommodates large groups and contains a fieldstone fireplace.
NERENBERG FAMILY CENTER (LIMITED AVAILABILITY)
The Nerenberg Family Center is an adult/family housing facility each with two twin beds. The building features centrally located separate common washrooms for males and females, a kitchenette equipped with microwave and refrigerator, and a meeting room.
CABINS (PLENTY OF AVAILABILITY)
The East and West Cabins, our two winterized cabins, house up to 60 people in the East Cabin, 54 in the West. Each cabin has three wings, each wing with 10 bunks (20 beds), and common bathroom and shower facilities. One wing in the West Cabin has 14 beds and a fireplace. Proximity to the dining hall and sports center make these ideal for youth retreats. We will also be using the Avodah Winterized Cabins.
For those who prefer to stay off-campus (or commute), there are a number of hotels and B&Bs in the area. Please make your own arrangements, and register with us by selecting the appropriate off-site option.
